Pianist Daniil Trifonov was born in 1991 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. He was awarded in some of the most prestigious international competitions, including the Moscow Tchaikovsky. In 2016, he was considered the Artist of the Year by Gramophone magazine and, in 2018, he won a Grammy for Best Solo Instrumental Album with “Transcendental”. The double album with works by Liszt marked his third title as an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist.

Trifonov had a spectacular rise in the world of classical music as a soloist, concertist, chamber musician and composer. Combining consummate technique with sensitivity and depth, his performances are highly admired. Daniil Trifonov is considered one of the greatest talents of the new generation and has performed with the most important world orchestras, such as the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and the Vienna Philharmonic.
